Memorial Day Weekend Getaway

Memorial Day marks the unofficial beginning of the Summer season. It's also one of my favorite times to explore the Brandywine Valley. Flowers are in full bloom at Longwood Gardens, Blue Rocks baseball is in full swing at the Wilmington Stadium, and there are so many outdoor festivals to enjoy. This weekend, I hope to visit the ChaddsFord Winery for the Brandywine Blues Fest. You can bring your own picnic, or purchase food there, and relax on the grounds of the winery as you listen to the sounds of two live Blues bands. Every day there are two different bands and admission also includes wine tastings and souvenir wine glasses. It's so much more relaxing than sitting in beach traffic!

Here at the Estate, we are getting prepared for the Summer, too. We are excited to be opening our Outdoor Pool and Jacuzzi in a few days, so don't forget to pack your bathing suit! Want to soak up the sun and stay by the pool all day? Drinks and refreshments will be available from our Estate Butler Staff to enjoy poolside.
