Labor Day Jazz Festival

End the summer season with cool wines and hot jazz at the Chaddsford Winery!

Brews & Blues Festival

This August, Home Grown Cafe celebrates its ninth anniversary on Saturday, August 15th and Sunday, August 16th.

The popular Newark restaurant will be hosting a weekend-long showcase of great local beers and great local blues artists. Delicious craft brews and new seasonal releases by Dogfish Head and Victory Brewing Co. will be available for sampling, and will also be appropriately paired with Home Grown's renowned creative cuisine - all fresh and local ingredients, of course. Live blues artists will be performing both days during lunch and dinner.

Woodstock 40th Anniversary

On Saturday, August 15th, students from six local schools play Bellevue State Park and pay homage to Woodstock by recreating songs performed at the original 1969 concert and subsequent anniversary shows.

Food and beverages will be available, and guests are welcome to pack a picnic and bring a blanket.

The show is free, but there is a $3.00 in-state and $5.00 out-of-state park entrance fee.

Showtime is from 12noon - 7pm.

Fireworks & Fountains

Longwood Gardens lights up the sky with their spectacular Fireworks & Fountains events this summer!

This month's performance takes place on August 9th at 9:15pm. Titled "Abbacadabra: The Magic of Abba", the show sets the beautiful sights of fireworks and colorfully illuminated fountains to the sounds of the disco-pop band Abba.
