Fireworks & Fountains

Jaw-dropping Fireworks & Fountains shows entertain on special summer evenings at Longwood Gardens. Each show is choreographed to stirring music, creating an unforgettable display that lights the evening sky. There will also be a Fireworks BBQ from 3:30-7pm each evening.

House & Garden Tour

"A Day In Old New Castle" is the nation's longest-running house and garden tour.

On May 16th, residents in this 350-year-old town open their homes and gardens to the public. It's a unique opportunity to go inside homes that are more than 200 years old, and see how they have been adapted to 21st-century living.

There is also a full complement of historic re-enactments, military maneuvers, craft demonstrations, period games, storytelling, Colonial dancing and music.

Underground Railroad Experience

Historic Odessa Foundation has introduced Freedom Seekers: The Odessa Story.

This program unveils the role Odessa played in the Underground Railroad and gives children the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of fugitive slaves making their way North to freedom.

Nemours Reopens

Nemours Mansion & Gardens has reopened for guided tours.

Commissioned in 1909 by Alfred I. du Pont, the mansion has been returned to its turn-of-the-century magnificence. It contains exquisite paintings, antiques, sculpture and tapestries, some of which date back to the 15th century.

Situated on 222 acres that include a mix of woodland areas and formal gardens, Nemours is a landscape jewel and arguably the finest formal French garden in America.
